MY COMMITMENT

My vision for Blue Springs schools is to ensure every student learns in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment and is prepared for success to the best of their ability. I believe in high academic standards, strong support for educators, responsible use of taxpayer resources, and preparing students for multiple pathways after graduation. By working together, we can build on Blue Springs’ tradition of excellence and prepare our schools and students for the future.

MY BACKGROUND

I have called Blue Springs home for more than 25 years and am deeply invested in the success of our schools and community. My wife, Melanie, spent 10 years as a paraprofessional at Liggett Trail Early Childhood Center supporting children with developmental delays and disabilities, giving our family firsthand insight into the importance of early intervention and strong student support services. I am the proud father of three sons two who graduated from Blue Springs high schools, and a grandfather to four grandchildren, including two currently attending Blue Springs schools, giving me with a multigenerational perspective on our District.

My children attended both public and private schools across four different districts, from Detroit to Orange County, California, giving me a broad understanding of education systems and family expectations. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance degree from the University of Louisville and built a professional career with Procter & Gamble and SC Johnson, where I developed strong skills in accountability, strategic planning, and responsible decision-making. With more than 30 years of youth and community service, including leadership roles within the City of Blue Springs, our Church and the Scouting program, I bring practical, thoughtful leadership focused on supporting students, valuing educators, and ensuring our schools remain strong and prepared for the future.
